You Pick bookings
A booking holds places for the number of people you name, on the session you choose. It is not a purchase of flowers, and there is no online payment. Sessions are published when the flowers and the weather suit picking. If a session is full, it cannot take more people.
If you cannot come, email or call so those places can be offered to someone else. There is no booking fee to refund.
Price
The charge is $2 per stem for as much as you want to pick. You pay at the farm for the stems you take home. A picking bucket and snips are provided. Bring your own bucket if you want one for the trip home.
Weather and flower volume
Sessions depend on the weather and on how many stems are ready. If picking would not be a good experience, we will contact you about two days before the booked event to confirm, cancel or postpone. We use the email and mobile number on the booking to do that.
On the farm
This is a working flower farm. There are bees, and the ground is uneven. Wear good footwear and follow the picking talk at the start of the session, including which stems are ready. We may refuse entry, or ask someone to leave, if the visit would be unsafe.
Children are welcome. Rounded snips are available for younger children. Children must be supervised, or strapped in a stroller, while they are on site. The adult who books is responsible for the people in their group.
Group bookings and florists
Public You Pick is the Friday and Saturday sessions listed on this site. Group visits, and flowers for florists, are arranged separately. An enquiry form is a request, not a confirmed booking, until the farm agrees the date and what is included.
The website
We take care to keep session times and prices current. A session can still change for weather or flower volume, as set out above. Photos show the farm and its flowers. What is ready to pick changes through the season.
The words, logo and photographs on this site belong to Funky Foliage Gardens unless we say otherwise. Please do not copy them for another business.
Your rights
Nothing on this page limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
